Wallingford Little League 2021 Season Update I hope you had a great holiday season and a happy new year. I am reaching out tonight to give you an update on the upcoming 2021 season for Wallingford Little League. While Covid is still a major factor right now, we are going forward with our baseball season. We are working very closely with the health department, Town of Wallingford and Little League International to determine when we will be able to get on the fields. As soon as we get any concrete information, I will share it with you.
Registration is still open. We have eliminated any late fees this year as we know some of you might be on the fence about signing up. I want to assure you; we will be taking all precautions to keep your children and our volunteers safe. All safety measures will be closely monitored by Board members. If, for any reason, we need to cancel the season all fees will be refunded. It is, however, imperative that you sign up sooner rather than later to ensure that we have time to put teams together and order uniforms on time. Also, major and AAA players must be signed up before evaluations.
I know that these last few months have been hard financially for everyone. If you have not signed up because of the registration fee, please check our website for information on the T-Mobile Call Up Grant. If you qualify for the grant your registration fee will be covered. If not, please reach out to me personally. We will work together to make sure your child plays. We do not turn away any player!
We plan to hold evaluations on March 7th and 14th. These dates are tentative, and more information will be coming out soon.
Please know that the Wallingford Little League Board of Directors are working very hard to put together a safe, fun, and exciting season. See you on the fields!
