Questions about practices and games
Q. What is the time commitment? How many practices and games per week?
At most levels of Wallingford Little League, players/teams typically have two games per week and at least one practice per week (once the season starts). Practices are at the discretion of the manager so days and times may vary for practice schedule.

Q. Is there a set game schedule?
Schedules for the season are generally posted by the first week of May (earlier for the older divisions). Although there are a few exceptions, we expect to follow the following format for games:
Majors – Monday, Thursday, Saturday night
AAA – Tuesday, Friday
AA - Wednesday, Saturday (early afternoon)
A - Wednesday night and Saturday (late morning)
T-Ball - Wednesday night and Saturday (morning)

Q. Does each player play every game?
All players will play every game.
When batting, all of our divisions except Majors use a continuous batting order, ensuring that everyone gets a similar number of at-bats during a game. In Majors, all players are required to get at least one at bat in a game.
In the field, because games are often shorter, coaches in lower divisions (T-Ball, Single A, Double A) will attempt to play players equally. In older divisions (Triple A and Majors), players must play a minimum of three innings in the field (unless the game is shortened).

Q. How many players are on a Little League team.
Our goal is to have 12-14 players per team.

Q. Where can I find the Little League rules?
One copy of the official Little League rule book will be provided to each manager on the Majors and Triple A divisions. Additional copies may be purchased online at the Little League store.
Each division will also have "local rules," which are modifications of the official rules. These will be posted online.
